Description:
Phosphonic acid, (2-oxobutyl)-, diethyl ester is a dienone with an optical rotation of +159°. It is an alkylation agent that reacts with nucleophiles to form a phosphonate ester. This compound is also used in the synthesis of chiral β-unsaturated ketones.
