Description:

3-(5-Formyl-2,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-3-yl)propanoic Acid is a chemical compound that is found in horseradish and other plants. It has been synthesized by reacting 2,4-dimethylpyrrole with formaldehyde and propanoic acid in the presence of sodium azide. 3-(5-Formyl-2,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-3-yl)propanoic Acid is used as a singlet oxygen quencher to prevent the formation of singlet oxygen during the photooxidation of organic compounds. This chemical also has antiinflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit peroxidase activity.
