2'-Methyl-biphenyl-4-ylamine is a synthetic dietary amine that has been shown to have anti-cancer properties. It has been used in vitro and in vivo to study the effects of 2'-methyl-biphenyl-4-ylamine on cancer cells, including chronic liver cancer and chromosomal damage. 2'-Methyl-biphenyl-4-ylamine also has clinical studies showing that it can be used for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. This drug is an acceptor molecule that binds to DNA bases and inhibits the formation of hydrogen bonds between bases and water. This binding prevents transcription, leading to cell death.
