Description:

Benzaldehyde p-Toluenesulfonylhydrazone is a heterocycle that has been used in the synthesis of diazo compounds. It is an organic solvent, which can be used to synthesize epoxides. Benzaldehyde p-Toluenesulfonylhydrazone has been shown to react with hydroxyl groups and copper complexes to form reaction products. This compound also reacts with nitro groups, forming a nitrosobenzaldehyde derivative. It has been used as a precursor to sterically hindered amines and aziridines.
