Product Information
4-Hydroxy-8-methyl-2(1H)-quinolinone is a reassigned compound with symmetric and asymmetric pathways. It is an experimental, theoretical, and crystallographic molecule that has been studied extensively in the last decade. The synthesis of this compound has been rationalized and experiments have been done to show the difference between its two crystallographic isomers. X-ray crystallography was used to analyze the structure of this molecule and it was found that 4-hydroxy-8-methyl-2(1H)-quinolinone can exist as a dimerization product of vinyl acetate.
