Product Information
2-Phenylbenzofuran is a receptor binding compound that binds to the aryl halide binding site of the hepg2 cell. It inhibits the uptake of monoamine neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine, by competitive inhibition. 2-Phenylbenzofuran has shown an inhibitory effect on glycyrrhiza uralensis, which is a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of infectious diseases. 2-Phenylbenzofuran also blocks proton channels and inhibits the inflammatory response induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS) in human macrophages. This compound has been shown to decrease insulin resistance in mice with diet-induced obesity by inhibiting diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1).
