Delta-amyrin acetate is a phytochemical that is found in plants. It has been shown to be an unsaturated ketone with a hexadecanoic acid section. This compound has been synthesised and catalysed by aluminium. The molecular modeling technique was used to study the structure of this molecule. Delta-amyrin acetate is synthesised from β-amyrin, which itself is synthesised from ethyl bromoacetate and aluminum trifluoride. Goodeniaceae plants are known sources for this compound.
