Product Information
2-Oxo-2-(thiophen-2-yl)acetaldehyde is a chemical compound that inhibits the enzyme tyrosine kinase. It has been shown to inhibit cell growth and induce apoptosis in vitro, due to its ability to bind to the receptor protein. 2-Oxo-2-(thiophen-2-yl)acetaldehyde is an analog of phenacyl, which also inhibits tyrosine kinase. This inhibition leads to a decrease in cellular chloride, carboxy, and kinase receptor levels. The compound has been shown to have polyphosphoric acid activity in vitro, and cytotoxic activity against tumor cells by inhibiting tyrosine kinase.
