Product Information

Name:
6-[[[4-(Acetylamino)phenyl]sulfonyl]amino]-hexanoic acid
Description:

6-[[[4-(Acetylamino)phenyl]sulfonyl]amino]-hexanoic acid (6AASA) is a hexanoic acid derivative that has been shown to bind to the adenosine A3 receptor. 6AASA is an amide with a molecular weight of 288.42. It inhibits the enzyme dpp-iv, which is involved in the degradation of insulin and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. 6AASA also binds to the chlorogenic acids site on mcl-1 protein and prevents it from binding to Bcl-2, inhibiting its anti-apoptotic activity.
6AASA also exhibits in vitro antiproliferative effects against cancer cells and may be useful for treating cancers that have high levels of these proteins.
