Description:
3-Decyn-1-ol is a synthetic chemical with a monolayer structure. It has been shown to exhibit immunosuppressive activities in mice, as well as growth-inhibiting effects on human macrophages and murine bone cells. 3-Decyn-1-ol has also been found to inhibit cholesterol synthesis in humans, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of acid molecules. This compound has been shown to have antioxidant properties, which is likely due to its ability to scavenge free radicals. 3-Decyn-1-ol is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of fatty acids and pheromones, and can also promote the formation of fluorine compounds that are toxic for humans at high concentrations.
