Product Information
4-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)benzenesulfonamide is an isoquinoline alkaloid that has been used as a lead compound in the discovery of new pyrazole derivatives. It inhibits leishmania parasites by inhibiting phospholipase D, which is an enzyme that is involved in the synthesis of cellular membrane phospholipids. 4-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)benzenesulfonamide has shown significant cytotoxicity against Leishmania infantum and other strains of leishmania. This compound has also been found to be active against bacterial strains such as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Bacillus subtilis.
