Product Information

Name:
Z-Ile-Glu(OMe)-Thr-DL-Asp(OMe)-fluoromethylketone
Description:

Z-Ile-Glu(OMe)-Thr-DL-Asp(OMe)-fluoromethylketone is an inhibitor of the IL-2 receptor, which is a membrane protein that is involved in the activation of T lymphocytes. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of HL60 cells by inducing mitochondrial membrane depolarization and neuronal death. Z-Ile-Glu(OMe)-Thr-DL-Asp(OMe)-fluoromethylketone also inhibits the activity of mitochondrial enzymes and induces apoptosis by downregulating proapoptotic proteins. The drug has been tested in vivo in a bowel disease model and has shown to be safe for use in pregnant animals.
