2HPP binds to a site on the ATP binding site of the tyrosine kinase enzyme and prevents ATP from binding, thereby inhibiting its activity. 2HPP also inhibits inflammatory cytokines such as TNFα, IL1β, IL6, and IL8. 2HPP does not inhibit JAK1 or JAK3 which are enzymes
