2-Fluoro-4-(methylthio)aniline is a fluorinated analog of the aniline derivative 4-fluoro-2-methylaniline (FMA). It is a noncompetitive inhibitor of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. 2-Fluoro-4-(methylthio)aniline has been shown to be biologically active in human cells, with EC50 values of approximately 10 to 100 μM. The agonistic activity of this molecule may be due to its conformationally constrained structure and substitution at the ortho position on the phenyl ring.
