Product Information
4-Aminocyclohexan-1-ol hydrochloride is an amine that is used in the synthesis of peptides and other organic compounds. It has been shown to have anticancer activity in murine leukemia and also has a high uptake rate into cells, as well as being able to form hydrogen bonds and fatty acids. 4-Aminocyclohexan-1-ol hydrochloride is an impurity of the drug cyclophosphamide which can be found in the form of two isomers: (R,S)-4-aminocyclohexan-1-ol hydrochloride and (S,R)-4-aminocyclohexan-1-ol hydrochloride. These two forms are not interchangeable because they have different physical properties such as melting point, solubility, and density. The chemical reaction between these two substances produces a constant with a molecular weight of 166.3 g/mol.
