Product Information
- 3-(4-Tert-Butyl-Phenyl)-3-Oxo-Propionic Acid Ethyl Ester
- Ethyl (4-Tert-Butylbenzoyl)Acetate
Ethyl (4-tert-butylbenzoyl)acetate is a molecule devoid of any activity. It is an orthosteric and allosteric modulator of the GABA receptor. It has been shown to be an allosteric modulator of the GABA receptor with a high selectivity for the alpha2/alpha3 subunit. This compound has also been shown to be an active compound in optimization studies, and it inhibits gtpγs binding in vitro. The physiological role of this molecule is not yet known, but it has been suggested that it may be involved in chemotypes, as well as allosteric functionality. This molecule is a GABA receptor agonist that can bind to different types of receptors, including alpha2/alpha3 subunits and baclofen-sensitive receptors.
