4-(Iodomethyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran is a synthetic cannabinoid that has been shown to bind to the CB2 receptor. It has been shown to have cannabimimetic properties and has been used as a research tool in drug product development. 4-(Iodomethyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran has been found to have an EC50 of 2.6 μM for the CB2 receptor, which is higher than the EC50 for other synthetic cannabinoids (1.5 μM). This drug also binds to the cb1 receptor and can be used as a research tool in drug discovery.
