The fluorescence method was used to evaluate the efficiency of 2,7-dibromo-9-n-octylcarbazole as an acceptor. This dye also has voltage dependent fluorescence and electrochemical studies that show its potential as a device component. The morphology of this dye was studied by transmission electron microscopy and it was found that 2,7-dibromo-9-n-octylcarbazole is a spherical molecule with dimensions of 1.3 nm in diameter.
