Product Information
Dapagliflozin 3-O-β-D-glucuronide is a metabolite of the drug canagliflozin. It is an oral anti-diabetic drug that is used to reduce blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Dapagliflozin 3-O-β-D-glucuronide binds to the sodium glucose transporter 2 (SGLT2), which is located in the kidney, and prevents glucose from being absorbed into the bloodstream. It has been shown to decrease body mass index, plasma concentration-time curve, and renal function. Dapagliflozin 3-O-β-D-glucuronide also increases creatinine clearance and decreases glomerular filtration rate.
