Agrimonolide 6-o-glucoside is a natural compound that is found in the leaves of the plant "Agrimonia eupatoria". It has been shown to inhibit insulin sensitivity, inhibitory activities, and inhibitory properties. This compound also has an insulin-sensitizing effect by stimulating glucose uptake by adipocytes. Agrimonolide 6-o-glucoside has been shown to reduce intestinal proton secretion and protein synthesis in vitro. It also has antidiabetic effects as it increases acetate production and reduces energy metabolism in cultured L6 cells. Finally, this compound may be used as a drug target for diabetes treatments due to its interactions with p-nitrophenyl phosphate and tannins.
