Description

An ultraselective, first-in-class inhibitor of the Receptor Interacting Protein 1 (RIP1) kinase with nanomolar potency. The compound occupies allosteric pockets characteristic of type II and type III classes of kinase inhibitors. It blocks the TNF-induced necrotic cell death and reduces the production of cytokines IL-1β and IL-6 from ulcerative colitis explant tissue. Potential candidate for treatment of inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis.
