- GR 127935 hydrate hydrochloride
GR 127935 is a 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor antagonist that binds to the 5-HT1A, 5-HT2A, and 5-HT7 receptors. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro with a biphasic response, where concentrations of 10 μM or less have an inhibitory effect on cell growth and concentrations above 10 μM have stimulatory effects. The anti-cancer properties of GR 127935 are due to its ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to the 5-HT2A receptor, which inhibits the production of TNFα and IL-6 cytokines. GR 127935 also has an inhibitory effect on the release of dopamine by binding to the 5-HT1A receptor. This drug has been shown to be effective against hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in vivo in animal models.
GR 127935 is a potent inhibitor for both 5-
