N-Tetracosenoyl-(cis-15)-sulfatide is an analytical reagent that is used in the detection of sulfatides. The compound reacts with sulfatides to produce a spectrometric product. The hydrogen bond between the hydroxyl group on the N-tetracosenoyl-(cis-15)-sulfatide and the hydroxyl group on the sulfate ester group of sulfatides is responsible for this reaction.
