Product Information
- Tert-Butyl Diprop-2-En-1-Ylcarbamate
Tert-butyl diallylcarbamate is a regiospecific, immobilized, mesoporous catalyst for the conversion of carbon tetrachloride to 1,2-dichloroethane. This compound has shown high stereospecificity in the conversion of tert-butanol to 2-butyne and 3-butyne. Tert-butyl diallylcarbamate is an effective catalyst for the synthesis of butene from ethylene oxide and hydrogen. It has been used as a solid catalyst for the biosynthesis of biomolecules including antibiotics (e.g., penicillin) and pharmaceuticals (e.g., cortisone). This compound is also a reusable material that can be regenerated by washing with water or methanol. The mesoporous structure of this material allows access to its interior surface area, which provides more sites for catalysis than conventional catalysts.
