Product Information
2-(Trifluoromethyl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one is an oxygen heterocycle that is used as a building block for other compounds. It can be synthesized from the reaction of methylidene, amines, and morpholine in the presence of lithium diisopropylamide. This compound can also be obtained by reacting piperidine with 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of malonate and ethanolamine. 2-(Trifluoromethyl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one has been shown to act as a ligand for metal ions such as copper (Cu) or nickel (Ni).
