Product Information
Boc-Oxyma is a byproduct of the chemical synthesis of oxyma, which is in turn an intermediate for the production of hydroxamic acids. This product contains nitrogen atoms and has reactive properties that can be used to create complex molecules with amines and other compounds. Boc-Oxyma can also be converted into hydroxamic acids through oxidation or reduction reactions. The mechanism behind this conversion is not well understood, but it has been shown that thiocarbamates have a functional group that reacts with hydroxamic acid derivatives to form thioesterification products.
