Product Information
SN 50M is a synthetic compound that inhibits the transcriptional regulation of genes by interacting with the glucocorticoid receptor (GR). It binds to the GR in macrophages and prostate cancer cells, which leads to reduced expression of inhibitory proteins. SN 50M also inhibits angiotensin system-dependent signaling pathways in macrophages. This inhibition reduces the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α. The biological properties of SN 50M are mainly due to its ability to bind to DNA and inhibit polymerase chain reactions. It has been shown to have antitumor activity against prostate cancer cells, inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis.
