Description:
This compound is a potential anticancer drug and an analog of 2-hydroxyphenyl-1,3-thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid. It has been shown to cause apoptosis in cancer cells by binding to metal ions. This compound also inhibits the growth of cancer cell lines in vitro. The molecular docking technique was used to investigate how this compound interacts with the protein Bcl-xL. The quantum yield for this compound was determined using fluorescence spectroscopy and electronic spectroscopy analyses.
