Product Information
The dynamin inhibitory peptide (DIP) is a molecule that inhibits the function of dynamin, which is a protein involved in the process of vesicle trafficking. The DIP binds to dopamine-3 receptors and blocks the cation channel, which is responsible for the cellular influx of calcium ions. This decreases glutamate release and prevents the development of depression. The DIP also has an antigenic specificity and can be used as an antibody probe to detect antigen-specific T cells. The DIP has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animal models, but its mechanism of action is not yet understood.
