3-(Piperidin-4-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine is a fluorescent probe, which has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of jak2 v617f, cyclase, and mitochondrial membrane potential. This compound also has been shown to inhibit the activity of 5-HT2 receptors, which leads to its use in the treatment of coronary heart diseases. 3-(Piperidin-4-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine has been used as a chemical biology tool for the study of biological properties. It is used for mapping the locations of specific proteins within cells by fluorescence microscopy. This compound also can be used as a pharmacological agent for treating congestive heart failure.
