Description:

4-Chloro-1-methyl-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid (4CMP) is an antimicrobial agent, which exhibits significant cytotoxicity against a number of cancer cell lines. It has been shown to have a number of biological properties, including the ability to inhibit the Mcl-1 protein and p-hydroxybenzoic acid. 4CMP has also been shown to be metabolized into picolinic acid and other analogs, which are thought to be responsible for its cytotoxic activity. The optimum concentrations of 4CMP range from 10 µM to 100 µM.
