Product Information
N-Ethyl-4-nitroaniline hydrochloride is an antibacterial agent that inhibits the function of glycanase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of glycosidic bonds in polysaccharides. This inhibition prevents the bacteria from producing capsular polysaccharide and crossreactivity, which are vital for bacterial growth and virulence. N-Ethyl-4-nitroaniline hydrochloride has also been shown to have potent inhibitory effects on serologic activity, which may be due to its ability to depolymerize polysaccharides and conjugates. This drug can be used as a reductive agent to reduce nitroarenes to amines.
