Description

Undecafluoro-(2-methyl-3-oxahexanoyl) fluoride is a low molecular weight, polystyrene polymer that can be cross-linked with fluoroalkyl monomers. It is used in the encapsulation of drugs and other biologically active substances. Undecafluoro-(2-methyl-3-oxahexanoyl) fluoride has been shown to possess low cytotoxicity and improved stability over other polymers. This polymer is soluble in acidic solutions, making it useful for encapsulating acidic drugs or those which are sensitive to hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases. Undecafluoro-(2-methyl-3-oxahexanoyl) fluoride also has a low molecular weight and an effective particle size.
