Chloranocryl is a molecule that can be degraded by urea nitrogen. It has been shown to have interactive effects with hydrochloric acid and chromatographic method, polymerase chain reaction products, and mollusca. Chloranocryl is used as a pesticide in the form of anhydrous sodium or ethanol. Chloranocryl inhibits the growth of some bacteria by binding to DNA and preventing transcription and replication. The type strain of this molecule is "Pseudomonas putida" ATCC 9144; it is active against some bacteria such as "Escherichia coli" K-12, "Bacillus subtilis", and "Streptococcus pyogenes".
