Description:

2-Dimethylaminoethyl Benzoate is an organic solvent that is used in the synthesis of benzalkonium chloride. It has been shown to initiate polymerization in an electrophotographic process and can be used as a monomer in the synthesis of polymers. 2-Dimethylaminoethyl benzoate reacts with a hydroxyl group, chlorine atom, and one or more functional groups such as carbonyl groups. This reaction produces ester hydrochloride.
