Product Information

Name:
1,2,3,4,5,6-Cyclohexanehexacarboxylic Acid Monohydrate
Synonyms:
  • 1,2,3,4,5,6-Cyclohexanehexacarboxylic acid
  • Hexahydromellitic acid
Description:

1,2,3,4,5,6-Cyclohexanehexacarboxylic acid monohydrate (CDAA) is a polycarboxylic acid that belongs to the class of ethylene diamine. It is used as an additive in the production of cationic polymerization. CDAA can be used as a catalyst for oxidation reactions. CDAA has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by acting as a cationic surfactant and carboxylate. It also has high resistance against bacteria due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. The reactive properties of CDAA make it useful for film formation and as a substrate for diamine tetraacetic acid (DTA).
