extracts of the leaves of the plant "Alstonia scholaris". The extract contains both enantiomers in a ratio of 1:1. This compound has been shown to have antifungal activities against bacterial strains and Candida albicans. It also has been used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, and its stereospecificity was determined using X-Ray analysis.
