Description:
1-P-Tolyl-pyrrolidine-2,5-dione is an amide that is used in the treatment of epilepsy. It is a psychomotor stimulant and has been shown to produce preview activity in animals. The drug also has been associated with renal damage, hepatitis, and hypersensitivity reactions. Clinical studies have shown that 1-p-tolyl-pyrrolidine-2,5-dione is resistant to primidone and mysoline.
