Product Information
2-(Trifluoromethyl)-4-chloro-1H-benzimidazole is a synthetic compound that blocks the synthesis of fatty acids in cancer cells. It also inhibits the growth of malignant neoplasms and stimulates regression. 2-(Trifluoromethyl)-4-chloro-1H-benzimidazole has been shown to be effective against human cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. In addition, 2-(Trifluoromethyl)-4-chloro-1H-benzimidazole has been shown to inhibit the production of lactate from glucose, which may be due to its ability to inhibit glycolysis at the level of pyruvate kinase. This agent also causes a depression of blood pressure by unknown mechanisms.
