Product Information
2-Bromopropan-1-amine hydrobromide is a synthetic compound. It has been shown to have analgesic and depressant activity in animal models. The mechanism of action of 2-BPAH is not well understood, but it may work by binding to the Pim-1 receptor, which has been found in the thin film of rat brain. This binding could lead to an increase in cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels or inhibition of potassium ion channels, which are both known to be involved in pain transmission. 2-BPAH is also thought to have transport properties, as it increases the permeability of membranes by acting on ion channels. The analgesic effects of 2-BPAH are reversible with glibenclamide, which inhibits ATPase activity and lowers cAMP levels.
