Description:

Diethyl butylphosphonate (DEBP) is a reactive chemical that can be used for immobilizing biomolecules. It is an organic solvent with good chemical stability, which is useful for the immobilization of proteins and other molecules. DEBP has been shown to react with tetrahydrocarbazole (THC) to form a molecule containing a phosphonate group and an aromatic ring. This reaction product has been observed to have nucleophilic properties, which allow it to react with hydroxyapatite, forming new compounds. The structural formula of DEBP is shown below:
