Description:

4'-Hydroxyazobenzene-4-carboxylic acid is a natural product that has been found in water samples and xylene. It is an organic compound with a carboxylic acid group, which can be synthesized by the reaction of azobenzene and fatty acids. It fluoresces under ultraviolet light, and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in mice. 4'-Hydroxyazobenzene-4-carboxylic acid is also able to bind to a number of proteins, including albumin and myoglobin.
