Product Information
Ethyl imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylate hydrobromide is a phenoxy compound that has been demonstrated to have potent anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer activities. It has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The mechanism of action of ethyl imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylate hydrobromide is not well understood but it may be mediated by nitric oxide and cytokine synthesis. This drug inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase enzymes, leading to suppression of arachidonate metabolism and inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. In addition, this drug binds to DNA and alters transcriptional activity, which may lead to its anti-cancer properties.
