Product Information
2-[(3-Chloropropyl)sulfanyl]-1,3-benzothiazole is a chemical compound that has been shown to inhibit fungal growth in the larvae of galleria mellonella. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. The mechanism of action is similar to that of fluconazole and other antifungal agents. 2-[(3-Chloropropyl)sulfanyl]-1,3-benzothiazole has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi at concentrations as low as 0.2 μg/mL, with antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
