1,2-Diphenyl-3,5-pyrazolidinedione is a molecule that has been synthesized by the reaction of a palladium complex with an oxoalkyl derivative. The hydroxyl group in the aromatic ring provides the molecule with antiinflammatory properties. This compound has been shown to have low energy and is a skin sensitizer. It reacts with human serum and produces an antibody response. 1,2-Diphenyl-3,5-pyrazolidinedione also reacts with other compounds to form metathesis reactions and has biochemical properties that are similar to those of several other molecules.
