Description:
2-(Ethylthio)benzothiazole is a corrosion inhibitor that prevents the degradation of metal due to oxidation. It has been shown to be an effective additive in many types of fuel, such as gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. 2-Ethylthio-benzothiazole is also a functional group that inhibits carrageenan gelation at acidic pH levels. 2-Ethylthio-benzothiazole can be used as a peroxide scavenger and as a viscosity modifier for fatty acids.
