Description

1,2,4-Trivinylcyclohexane (mixture of isomers) is a polymeric material that is used as a solvent in the manufacture of polymers. It is also used as a component in the production of polyvinyl chloride. 1,2,4-Trivinylcyclohexane has been shown to be useful in the production of polycarboxylic acids and aliphatic hydrocarbons. The polymerization process can be initiated by either thermal or chemical means. The polymerization initiator is often a divalent hydrocarbon such as hydrogenated polystyrene.
