Description:
Phenanthridone is a quinoline-based acridone. Acridones are used as ligands for palladium complexes that are used in simulations to study the interactions between organic molecules and palladium. Phenanthridone has been shown to inhibit butyric acid production in Escherichia coli, and also inhibits the formation of imine and amide bonds. These inhibitory activities were studied using molecular modeling and magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
