Product Information
3-Oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-carbonitrile is a chemical compound that can be synthesized from 5-cyanophthalide and naphthalene. This compound has been shown to have protease activity in a stereoselective manner. 3-Oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-carbonitrile can be used in chemical biology experiments as well as in the synthesis of other chemicals. 3ODFCN has been shown to undergo a Suzuki coupling reaction with amides such as 5CPA and 5CPA derivatives to form heterocyclic compounds. 3ODFCN also reacts with hydroxy groups such as amides and alcohols to form carbonyl compounds.
