Quercetin 3-O-robinobioside is an analytical standard for a flavonol glycoside that has been identified in the plant Aspalathus linearis. Quercetin 3-O-robinobioside is an isomeric mixture of quercetin 3-O-glucoside, quercetin 3-O-[6′′′′′′]chrysidoside, quercetin 3-O-[2′′′′]arabinoside, and quercetin 3-O-[3″″″″]galactoside. This compound has been shown to have anti-cancer properties against prostate cancer cells. Quercetin 3-O-robinobioside may also be beneficial in preventing coronary heart diseases by reducing the level of proinflammatory compounds such as protocatechuic acid.
